அனல் மேலே பனி துளி !!

Harris deserves a lot of credit by using a unique voice of Sudha Ragunathan, for this melodious composition. He has his own trend of making use of classical voices like Bombay jayshree. This time, he suitably used sudha’s voice, to perform with the minimal music.

Sudha ragunathan has a terrific voice control, which really refined the song. A very unique voice for the suitable song. I had a feel to sing this song at once, after I heard it.

I just love this song….Hope you all listen my singing and give me your feedback !

Kanda naal muthalai !!

One of the best fusion song in the raaga Madhuvanti, which really mesmerized me in the recent days is "Kanda naal muthalai" Especially the interludes of sax and flute added the beauty to the song. I could say, its very difficult to remake the classical item number into light. Yuvan had made a wonderful job.
This time, I myself made this karoke ( !!) lol.. Hope you all hear this song and gimme the feedback :)

Poongathave thaazh thiravaai !

There was not much technology those days, and yet when you hear even one of Ilayaraja's songs, you will notice his class. Recordings were done live, not like today, where the music director sits in one country, the male artiste in another and the female in probably a different continent. You mix them, and lo and behold, you get a tune. This is not to ridicule modern music. It is tough, no doubt, but if it is difficult now, imagine how it would have been without technology.

Ilayaraja has single handedly been the sole reason for many films running to packed houses. People used to flock in thousands to watch a movie just to listen to the songs. His re-recording is another case in point. Just listening to the background music will move a person to tears. Shoddy acting by many actors have been saved by the BGM.

I would like to present one such song " poongathave thaazh" from the movie "Nizhalgal" with my co- artist Mr.Nagabhooshanam, who has great passion towards music and specially to say, his mother tongue is telugu. He took very little time to hear this song and he had done his best .Hope you all enjoy this beautiful melody

Churaliya hei tumne jo

Hi folks,

After a long time, I am herewith a hindi song from the movie "Yaadon ki Bharath", a super duper hit of the year 1973. Probably, I can say, the songs from this movie was the lullaby for me at that time. The Excellent music by R.D.Burman adds the extraordinary appeal for that movie. Virtually, every song in that film is a treat for the ears.

Hope you all enjoy !

Dum maro dum !!!

One more hindi song from me, is my favourite ’ Dum Maro Dum ’ the most successful and popular Hindi song ever. It’s psychedelically shot and danced to. It’s a perfect merge of Western rock music and Indian vocals .Asha Bhosle’s imitation of the wavering bass line still has the ability to send shivers down the spine. I think it’s a song which will never be forgotten, it’s simmering electric fire. I enjoy singing this song. Hope you people too.

Movie: Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971)
